| I am a strong advocate for renewable energy development and believe the government should provide broad policy incentives to promote the expanded use of many forms of renewable energy and certainly not hinder it's development in ANY way however our transition to renewable should be a free market based endeavor. The Federal government could certainly do things like provide low interest loans for renewable energy development that must be paid back but should not be providing direct giveaways. | |||

| We don't have a healthcare problem in this country, we have a healthcare insurance problem. 1 of every 3 dollars spent on healthcare is for administration, aka insurance profiteering. We need to eliminate healthcare profiteering by developing non profit healthcare administration systems and changing corporate governance rules for healthcare companies to eliminate much of the administrative costs of providing healthcare. Front line healthcare workers should be some of the best paid people in our society but healthcare administration should be NON PROFIT. | |||

| In my first term I will be laser focused on constituent services and finding ways the Federal Government can help local industries thrive and grow. The first thing I will do is employ staff that are expert grant writers who's mandate will be to help local municipalities, school boards, and individuals identify and apply for Federal grants of all kinds. Once I have established an information and help center for these opportunities I would like to work on identifying and addressing infrastructure improvement needs in the 1st District. |
